Mr. Chris Buckthorp

Chief Managed Services

Mr.Chris Buckthorp joined Gati in late 2010 as Chief Managed Services and is responsible for the company’s 3PL and Integrated Supply Chain Solutions business of Gati RedSun. He has a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of NSW in Australia and a career of over 18 years in Supply Chain Management.

He has an extensive background in managing logistics operations having worked with one of Australia’s leading 3PLs, in the food industry with Pepsico Food Systems and in Retail. Several years as a Principal Consultant in the SCM practice at PwC Consulting gives him strong strategic, tactical and executional capability across the full value chain and over multiple industry sectors.

His knowledge of end-to end supply chain management led him to Viewlocity, a leading global vendor of supply chain visibility technology, where he opened and led the S.E. Asian business and went on to lead Global Strategy, Marketing and Product Development.

Chris is committed to developing the capabilities of the Indian Logistics Industry and advancing the adoption of modern supply chain management practices. He is a founding member and current Vice President of the Hyderabad Roundtable of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP).
