Mr. Shashi Kiran Shetty is Chairman of Allcargo Logistics, ECU Worldwide and Gati Ltd.

Over the last 27 years, Mr. Shetty has built what is now India’s largest integrated logistics group. Following 10 successful international acquisitions – the most significant being that of ECU Worldwide, which at the time was nearly five times larger than its parent Allcargo – the Group has now evolved into a true multinational that operates in over 180 markets and employs nearly 10,000 globally. Through ECU Worldwide, the Group is now the largest LCL (less than cargo load) consolidator in the world.

In 2020, Mr. Shetty spearheaded the strategic acquisition of Gati Ltd, one of India’s oldest and largest express distribution companies, into the Allcargo fold to further grow the Group’s business in its home market.

He has recently been appointed by Government of India’s, Ministry of Education as the Chairman of the Society and Board of Governors of the National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), one of India’s premier engineering institutes.

For his contribution to Belgian trade and industry, Mr. Shetty was awarded the Commander of the Order of Leopold II by King Philippe of Belgium in 2015.

He has been an active participant in initiatives of the World Economic Forum, and those of premier Indian industry associations like the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and ASSOCHAM.

Mr. Shetty, who received a Doctor of Literature from Mangalore University, remains actively involved in philanthropy and community work through Avashya Foundation, the Group’s CSR arm. He is also deeply passionate about golf and art.
